Corruption! Criminality! Dare I say Conspiracy? Read on, I’ll have proof of all.
These guys — the second largest brony convention in the world (behind BronyCon, which I created)— told a bunch of people at their convention that I’d been arrested there, carrying a knife, hopped up on meth, with intent to murder. I was locked in my back room in Brooklyn doing a charity webcast that whole weekend.
Their (former?) Con Org was arrested for theft and enrolled in a “diversion programme”, the DRP, to keep him out of jail. Then their head of PR— one of the guys who was mentioned as spreading the rumours about me— lied his ass off and said that the charges were dropped. They weren’t dropped. He also said it was a case of mistaken identity. It wasn’t. So he lied to cover up serious criminal activity (theft) by his “boss”.
The same head of PR also accused me of harassing their venue with nonstop phone calls (I didn’t; there was one call and I recorded it) and said that I somehow motivated them to DECREASE their capacity of their Main Panel Room (made up of two rooms combined— Aspen+Mulberry) from “1000~1500” to 500. That was also a lie. Even the statement of one of their own staffers confirms this.
THESE LIARS AND CROOKS ARE BEING REWARDED BY HASBRO WITH PLUSH VA CONTRACTS.
The Canterlot Gardens crooks are also being rewarded by Everfree Northwest with promotion on their front page, and CG advertises Everfree NW as a partner. In fact, Everfree Northwest head “Bejoty” has taken multiple actions in their defence in the past. He once publically chastised me on a forum when I exposed their wrongdoing, and he once (silently, with no warning and without even admitting it) moderated me out of a Skype chat room simply because CG was uncomfortable with me being there. That’s right: The head of the #3 brony convention is complicit with these crooks. In fact, when I notified Hasbro of CG’s wrongdoings in the past, he signed a letter formally withdrawing from participation in my livestream.
It gets worse. That letter was apparently spearheaded by Karen “Glittering Pony” Padilla, con org of Equestria LA. This woman was so incensed by my having told Hasbro the truth about Canterlot Gardens that she had herself, Bejoty, and my not-so-competent successor Andrew “Zebranky” Brockert, who unbeknownst to me at the time of my appointing him is also a convicted computer hacker, sign this ridiculous letter withdrawing from my show in defence of Canterlot Gardens.
And speaking of Equestria LA? Canterlot Gardens advertises EQLA as a “partner” too, and in return EQLA was advertising CG with a banner on their front page until their recent page redesign.
So there you have it. Not only are CG liars and crooks, but the current con org of Everfree NW, the current con org of Equestria LA, and the former con org of BronyCon were and are all allied with these unrepentant liars and crooks, willing to take great measures to defend their right to… be liars and crooks. (Not to mention to crap all over the existing Ohio meetup group which dates back to a year before CG ever existed, and which had a con in the planning stages before CG was ever announced. For the record, only one of the CG core staffers (“Perry the Pony”) is from Ohio; the rest are NYC area.)
This is why I can no longer define myself as a “brony”. Pony fan, yes. But not a “brony”. This community has too many rotten apples in the barrel.
